We are fortunate to have one special little boy from our mating between Edge and Spryte. He arrived into the world fully grown on Tuesday February 11th. Turns out this was Spryte’s due date (from the rough idea of when she ovulated) as opposed to the one I’d worked off from the Ultrasound. A blue merle boy, he needed a bit of help in the incubator whilst Spryte was waking up from her C-section. Her C-Section went fine, I got to watch and helped rub some life into the newborn pup. The C-section was due to Spryte not progressing along in 1st stage labour – probably due to the small litter size (there was initially more than one). She was awake and out the door with me just over 2 hours later.
So little “Skech” (not his real name just one I’ve dubbed him since he rode home from the Vet that day in an empty Skecher’s shoe box) has made some great progress having free reign at the milk bar pretty much.
Here are some of his progress shots from the past week.

At last Spryte has a puppy that looks like it definitely had a father and is not just a little clone of herself! 🙂
